About iTalico

Italico is a lively Italian restaurant in Palo Alto serving handmade pasta, seasonal Italian dishes, and Neapolitan-style pizza. With a warm neighborhood atmosphere and a Michelin Bib Gourmand, Italico brings traditional Italian flavors to California Avenue with simple, honest cooking.

Located at 341 California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94306, iTalico operates as an italian restaurant serving Palo Alto in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 5โ€“9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach iTalico at (650) 473-9616; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, italicorestaurant.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 1,017 reviews, which is a strong result for an italian restaurant in Palo Alto and suggests consistent service.

Palo Alto is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Palo Alto is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

A wonderful Italian dining experience in Palo Alto๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡นWe had such a lovely dinner at iTalico. Itโ€™s a cozy and charming Italian restaurant with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We ordered the Fried Calamari with dipping sauce, Prosciutto, Arugula & Parmesan Pizza, Linguine with Mussels & Tomatoes, and Shrimp Risotto with fresh herbs. Everything was flavorful and tasted fresh and authentic. The pizza was especially delicious, and I really enjoyed the linguine with mussels and tomatoes. The shrimp risotto was also beautifully prepared, with a wonderful texture and fresh herb flavor. What I appreciated most was the authentic Italian feel of the food and the restaurant. It didnโ€™t feel overly commercial or Americanized, it felt like a place where the food and hospitality were genuinely rooted in Italian tradition. The restaurant is not huge which actually makes it feel more intimate and inviting. A great spot for a date night, family dinner, or a relaxed meal with friends.Definitely a place Iโ€™d come back to when Iโ€™m craving authentic Italian food in the Palo Alto area. Highly recommended! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ๐Ÿ•

Fantastic food, wine, hospitality. What an incredible place to dine with a large group on a Saturday afternoon. The owner -Michael and his team (Antonio + Marcelino) went above and beyond to host us. We will definitely be back. Big thanks again on behalf of the Stanford Anesthesia department. Leng

My friends and I recently dined at Italico, and I wanted to express how wonderful our experience was. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The host and servers were incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and gracious throughout the evening. Their genuine warmth made us feel less like customers and more like honored guests. The hugs goodbye at the end of the evening were such a heartfelt touch and perfectly reflected the kindness we experienced all night. The food was absolutely delicious, as were the bubbles. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The highlight of the evening was the Cacio e Pepe, made tableside. Not only was it delicious, but the presentation made it a memorable experience that we are still talking about. Outstanding food is always appreciated, but exceptional hospitality is what truly sets a restaurant apart. Italico excels at both. Thank you for creating such a memorable evening. We look forward to returning soon.

Went for dinner. Good Italian restaurant. Didn't like the Negroni, though. The bread was really good (didn't like paying for it, but it was worth it); the pasta was incredible, we liked the pesto one more. The sea salt caramel ice cream was really good too. It's a nice place with great pasta.
